#web FAQ
-
Are off-topic discussions allowed in #web?
Yes - and no. #web is a channel for all sorts of people with an interest in the WWW - and we don't demand that they, or you, remain "in character" as web developers all the time. The occational off-topic discussion will pop up - be it on politics (please don't), religion (rather not), philosophy (certainly!), anime ("... we have lots of that ... "), food (Yum!) and photograph (got some pro's!). What we do frown upon is the visitor who join the channel and directly ask questions which have absolutely nothing to do with the web - such as how to configure their NICs. Don't do that.

Why shouldn't I use XHTML?
The support in browsers today is very low.
